Crafty

My niece turns one this month and so i decided we need to do a ONE YEAR photo shoot and so of course she needs an outfit that's perfect for a princess! This isn't the whole outfit yet, there are leg warmers and a bow to come, but we're to a pretty good start and I'm loving it so far!

I think it turned out pretty darn cute!!

I was pretty surprised that it didn't take as long as i thought it was going to take to make this! The longest part was just cutting the tulle into strips, but even that didn't take all too long!

I'm glad my sister lets me dress up her princess every once in a while! I'm hoping someday ill have one of my own but who knows how long it'll be before that happens so for now, ill just stick with this!

But i cannot believe that this little babe will be ONE! Where has the last year gone?!?!

The saying is TRUE....

"BEST FRIENDS DO EVERYTHING TOGETHER...." even get sick! Yuck! It is true that me and Angelie live together, go to church together, have sleepovers (in our living room), watch chick flicks, talk about boys, visit eachother at work, make late night ice cream runs, share clothes and the list goes on and on. But this week we've added a new adventure...having the same sinus infection! I guess that's what happens when you're practically like sisters and share everything! We're even on the same schedule for when we take medicine. How cute is that?! haha
Today we went to to the grocery store, and this old lady kept staring at me. I went to walk by her and she said, "Did your friend say something mean to you?" and i said, "oh no! We just have sinus infections and my eye keeps watering." haha She was so concerned. She talked to us for like 5 more minutes! It was cracking me up but then i did not love everyone looking at me! It is only my right eye that waters but it does look like im crying! haha Oh well i suppose!!
Hopefully we get over it soon! We're getting really sick of blowing our noses!!

On the plus side....i'm getting some crafts done that i've been wanting to do! Pics to come! (if it turns out!! :) )

So i've only been at school for not even a month and im already searching for a way to get away!! How bad is that?! But who wouldn't want to go to the happiest place on earth?! Me and Angelie have been talking about it for a little while and with each day it sounds like a better and better idea! If anyone wants to donate to this noble cause......cash is more than happily accepted! :)
Until then...i'll just be stuck in this snowy place called Cedar City......

Just a little bit of EVERYTHING.....

Where do i even begin? Well the week before i left Cedar to go home, my roommate and BFF Angelie, made me sign up to be in this parade with her. She made it sound WAY cooler than it actually was! Ok, if we would have got better costumes it would have been funner! I think we should have been the Disney princess' BUT instead we were...well you can see for yourself...i don't really know what we were!!! But it was NOT as fun as she made it sound!! But it was fun to see the kids get all excited over...whatever we were!

 I don't know where my Christmas vacation went! It went by WAY to fast i know that much! I had great intentions over the break to hand-quilt a quilt i had made but as you can see i did not get very far!! I did get a little farther than this picture fortells though!!

I got to FINALLY meet Karter, the newest addition to our family! He is so stinkin cute and i could not get over his hair and his long legs!! He is so adorable! I also got to be there for his blessing day as well, right before i went back to Cedar. I am very thankful for worthy brothers who hold the priesthood and who are able to bless their babies. Kyle did such a great job!

My first Saturday back i went to my first Motocross!! It was actually cooler than i thought it was going to be! It was fun to see all the guys fight it out, and make each other mad! Hopefully soon ill get to go to a Supercross where its a little more intense and a big deal!!

A couple weeks after i got home we went to Temple Square as we do every year! It is just so magical as you walk around looking at all the lights and feeling the Spirit of Christmas! There isn't a better feeling! Since Karter was too tiny to go, Kyle and Brooks let us take Kylie and Kody with us! They are so funny! Kody who is 4 going on 40 kept us laughing the whole time with his comments. He is the worst backseat driver i know!! That night though they got to have a sleepover with me! It was fun to get to hang out with them since i don't get to see them very often! Here are just a couple of the comments Kody said....

• He asked if the sleeping bag he slept on was Brad's and i was right in the middle of doing Kylie's hair so i just said "sure" and he came up to me and with a VERY serious face he said, "only smart alecs use that answer!" HAHAHA
• I asked them if they wanted to go get a doughnut and Kody informed me that "doughnuts are not real food. We need tacos." So while i am pulling into Taco Time he says, "Yup. This is the right place!"
• As we're leaving Taco Time, im pulling out to head back to Logan to take them home. Kody then tells me that i am not going the right way, and asks me if i even know where they live. He says "This isn't the way my mom gets to our house." I asked him if he wanted to drive but he said no!

The week after Christmas was probably my favorite! I went down to St. George and had a fun little vaca! AND i learned (only for a day because the weather didn't really work with us!) how to ride a MOTORCYCLE! I think my mother was a little worried about me, but i came home in one piece and actually did better than i thought! I only almost died once, and it wasn't even that bad! The only thing is im not the best at turning....its kind of tricky!! haha But hopefully i'll get more practice in and then i will probably be doing Supercross' of my own!! :)

It was good to get to go home and see family and reunite with old friends! I didn't want to come back to Cedar AT ALL!! But alas...here i am sitting alone in my apartment, should be studying, but updating my blog instead! :) I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas break and was thankful for the time i got off of school! I did however, miss my sister and her family down south! That was the only part i looked forward to coming back down for! I got to stay at their house the last weekend of Christmas break and watch my nephews tear up the basketball court!

I have got 2 weeks of school behind me so far...14 more to go!

Last night i took my nephew Dallin out for his birthday dinner! He wanted to go to Pirate Island Pizza for his birthday so that is where we went! We had a lot of fun, but were sad when we went to the mall to get our pictures taken and the photobooth was out of order. So we went and got an ice cream cone instead! I told him we'll have to check back and see if it is working the next time we're down there!

Well there is my crazy life in a nutshell!! Maybe in 4 more months i'll have something to blog about again! I'm not very good at it!!

UgLy SwEaTeR DANCE!

   After i got home from my date with Andrew, my roommates and I got all ready to go to the Institute dance, which also happened to be an Ugly Sweater contest!! We had been so excited all week. Me and Angelie went to the DI and did some intense shopping for just the right sweaters! Then Ang used her artistic abilities to make them so much better and added little decorations to them!! The final product was better than i ever imagined! We had so much fun, and got some good looks! A good way to end the semester i thought!

BIRTHDAY DINNERS!!

     So my new favorite thing to do is take my nephews on dates! I always hated buying them stupid little toys for their birthdays that would just break or get lost, so i thought it would be fun to take them to dinner wherever they want to go!! There has been 2 birthdays so far and it has been a total blast!! Mathew's birthday is actually just 2 days before mine, so it was kinda both of our birthday dinners! He chose to go to Golden Corral and it made me laugh when he got SOOO excited about all the food he could choose from! I told him he had to eat atleast 4 plates and that he did! I think his favorite was the dessert, cause he could put all sorts of candy on his ice cream! Then to complete our date, my roommate had the great idea of going to the mall and getting our pictures takin in a photo booth! They act like they are too cool for it, but secretly i think they love it!! :)

I'm a loser and forgot my camera with Mathew so this is all we got!

  

   My second date was with Andrew, and his birthday is next week so we went out last night. He chose Pirate Island Pizza. I had never been there before, but i must say it is pretty cool! It reminded me of Pirates of the Caribbean. So fun! He chose what kind of pizza we got, and then i let him have a coupld dollars and he went and played in the arcade! He was in heaven! He only wanted to play the games that gave you tickets. There was one that reminded me of the wheel they spin at the end of the Price Is Right, and then whatever you landed on, it gave you that many tickets! His first try he got 150 and he thought he had struck gold!! It's always rediculous that they get all these tickets, then i think he got a ring pop and an airhead! But he loved it and that's all that matters!

    I love my nephews and nieces and im glad they like to spend time with their Aunt Kelsey even if they pretend like its "not cool!" I'm going to miss them as i go home for the Christmas vacation, but they'll be waiting for me when i come back down!! :)
