Honeymoon and Beyond!

I'll let the pictures explain how much fun we had on our honeymoon! We started out by going to Logan, to the Anniversay Inn, the Lost in Space room! I was SO thankful Ross suprised me and we did not have to drive all the way to Almo after the reception! The next day we headed to Almo and it was probably the best honeymoon ever. No schedule. No plans. Tiny town. Everyone knowing we were on our honeymoon and taking care of us. Going everywhere on a 4-wheeler. Durfee Hotsprings. Eating at the Outpost every. meal. YUM. Getting 16 oz. steaks from the sweet old lady that was the cook there when she found out we were newlyweds. In her accent she said, "You need big steak. Need to eat BIG." [don't tell but yes i did finish the WHOLE thing because it was THAT good!] We went to the City of Rocks. Independence Lake, Elba, on long 4-wheel rides, camping, watched movies, and just got to relax. I highly recommend a nice relaxing honeymoon, rather than a "cool" hawaiian honeymoon or something. We'll enjoy something like that another day! :) [Disneyland is coming in December! :) ]

Here is a pic overload!
The night i went through the temple. Bountiful.

driving through the City of Rocks.
at the Anniversary Inn.

Our lovely home for 3 days. Loved.

going to be our new tradition. going to Durfee Hotsprings!!

Ross said this was an "easy" hike. Lies. Next time im asking Josie.

When we got to the lake their was snow. and he wanted to go swimming. the crazy! But he swam across and made a snow angel. i was just hoping he didn't drown on the way their or back cause he was so cold.

[out of place] BUT this is our first home! we are debt free, and DON'T PAY RENT! yay. Its nice and spacious for just us 2. We only really needed a place to eat and sleep and it fills those needs just fine!

more pics from honeymoon

finally, the LAST night of the fair, i got him to ride the ferris wheel with me. thats what true love is! :) [AND he bought me a snowcone. spoiled.]

Way out of place. BUT this is after we left the reception. Do we look tired? cause we are.

And last, but not least, this is just my favorite picture ever. These are three of my favorite boys. This was their last "boys night" before Ross got married. Luke thought i was the coolest. person. ever. when i told him Ross could still have boys nights after we were married. They go to McDonalds, get some Hot n' Spicy's, and then head to the mountain to have a camp out. So fun!

And there ya go, quick re-cap of honeymoon and other events!

Really?

Well i guess we did make it FIVE whole weeks without going to the ER, so i guess i should be grateful! I got home from work Friday, got in my lounge clothes, excited to do ANYTHING besides homework. Clean, actually. And just as im changing, i see Jonie bringing my hubby home. I thought it was odd, but just wondered if his car was somewhere else. He walks inside, i look at his face, and i figure we're heading to the doctor. Just below his right eye he had a cut. We went to the ER cause the doctors office's were closed. He could have either got a couple stitches or just glue. He opted for glue. If there was any way, we would just buy a lifetime supply of that glue for this kid. Honestly. Just since we've been dating he's got his arm glued together, and a massive cut to the mouth, that couldn't have been stitched, so it was just nasty. Thankfully he hasn't done anything super serious. And he better keep it that way. I just may make him wear a mask to work. I've gotta protect that beautiful face!! Hopefully our kids take after me, and not their father, in the injury department. We can only pray.

[this is the picture his little sister sent me, because i was still in Cedar when this happened. so gross.]

NEWS!

I finally have something EXCITING to blog about! I got ENGAGED on June 11, 2011! To the most perfect, handsome, Ross Summers! If you would have asked me 7 months ago if I ever thought i would marry Ross, i would have laughed in your face! Our story starts about 6 years ago when we had middle school crushes on each other! On Ross' 16th birthday he had a party, [i was only 15 at the time] we held hand for the first time [with each other and anyone for that matter!] We watched a movie in one of their old barns down the street from his house. BUT since he was 16 and too impatient to wait until i turned 16, he got a girlfriend. Meaning he didn't take me on my first date when i finally turned 16. [Although, on my 15 birthday he did bring me flowers! (first flowers i ever got from a boy)] So i too had a steady relationship through high school. Well, right before he left on his mission, he called and asked me out on a date! I thought it was a dream come true and everything was going to just be so magical! How wrong i was. I came home from that date and told my mom there was nothing between us. I had told Ross however that he was going to the same mission as my cousin and that if he ran into an Elder Nelson to tell him hello. Fast forward a couple months...I get an email from my uncle telling me that Elder Nelson is training an Elder Summers that says he knows me! haha small world! Fast forward a few more months.....Elder Nelson comes home and i go to his homecoming. He immediatly finds me and tells me i have to marry Elder Summers! I start laughing and tell him he has a girl waiting for him and it'll never work out! To which Tyler [Elder Nelson] replied in the most serious face "We've talked and he knows what he's done wrong." haha well at the time i was liking a boy that was on a mission and had no intent of ever dating Ross. I ended up writing Ross 2 whole times on his mission. I thought that he had never written me back after the second one, but he will assure you that it was me who never wrote back, and i have come to terms with that truth. :/ oops!! Well..fast forward about a year and you have Elder Summers coming home from his mission. I hear that he is coming home but don't really think anything of it because i thought he had a girl waiting for him. I was down in Cedar City going to school so i didn't really even think anything of it. I had talked to Tyler though and we decided to meet in Tremonton and go to Ross' homecoming. So last minute i packed up my car and headed for home. I had no idea why i was traveling so far for someone i hadn't talked to in forever. Tyler didn't end up coming so i went to the homecoming all by myself! haha Ross gave a great talk, and after i didn't know if i should go say hi or not. i decided that i had come all that way so i might as well go and talk to him. I went up and got kind of an awkward hug and then i left. I went home and wanted to talk to him more. My mom said she'd pay me if i asked him to go to breakfast with me at the pie dump the next morning. I thought that was too forward or something so i didn't do it. I did however ask him if i could come over later and see him for a minute. Well a minute turned into 5 hours of talking and having to call it quits because it was 1 am  and i had to drive back the next day!! I headed back to Cedar City and we texted on and off a lot and even talked on the phone some. I wasn't going up North for Thanksgiving so we had to wait til my Christmas break to go on a date. Christmas break came and our first date was on December 11, 2010. We spent every day with each other except one, i think, the whole time i was home. We even spent Christmas eve, Christmas day, and a week long vacation with his family together. We had left two days after Christmas to head to St. George with his family. That was the day that he told me he loved me. I thought he was crazy at first, and didn't really say anything back! The next day while we were out riding dirt bikes, i was on the back of his and i realized i felt the same way and i told him i loved him too. The next two weeks flew by WAY too quickly and i found myself back in Cedar City for my next semester of school. I came home as much as possible. Not ever really knowing if this would lead to somthing. He came down a few times too. We had our ups and downs and it was always hard to leave him, and weekends seemed to go by faster and faster. Finally it was finals week and i put some faith in my Heavenly Father, and in Ross and transfered to USU and moved back to Tremonton. It has been SOOO nice to be close to Ross and not just have to talk to him on the phone. I get to actually see him every single day! On June 11, 2011 he popped the question! :) He had been out spraying in the field all day and didn't know if he was going to do it that day or not. It was a Saturday, and when he asked me, events of the week started making sense! He told me that he lied to me more that week than ever before! haha On that Friday we had come in for lunch, and then he was like trying to ditch me and i could tell he didnt want me to go wherever he was going right then so i just stayed at his house and worked on a quilt i had going. Then his mom invited me to go to logan with her. While we were on our way, we got to Riverside and she said, "i better call Ross before i lose service." In my head i was like "You only lose service for a minute and then you get it back. i don't actually understand why you have to call him right now!" But i guess that was their code because Ross was heading to Logan as well to pick up my ring! Back to Saturday....i had went out at like 5 pm to go ride in the sprayer with him. It was our 6 month anniversary of our first date, and i wanted something special that day so i asked my mom to go get us some Taco Time! haha Her and my dad knew that he was going to propose that day so she thought that was "code" for "i'm coming to show you my ring." but it wasn't and Ross was sure they were going to spill the beans. but i had NO idea! we got the food and went back to his house. We walked in and his mom was on the phone [it was Sarah asking if he had done it yet! haha] We ate our dinner and then he asked if i wanted to go on a 4-wheel ride. [it was already like 11 pm!!] So i got all bundled up and we headed out on a ride. We didn't get very far however. Just down the street was that same old barn that we held hands in almost 6 years ago! He pulled in and he turned off the wheeler and we just talked for a minute. He had gotten off, and he kinda paced back and forth, then he came and pulled me off, then he would hug me. haha his heart was racing SUPER fast so i kinda knew something must be up! He had reached into this secret compartment of the 4-wheeler and got something out. haha then he walked me over infront of the 4-wheeler and told me how he would love me forever, and then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I just stared at him. I didn't believe it was real. So after a couple seconds [which he says felt like 10 minutes] he said, with the cutest face, "please?!" haha Of course i said YES!!!!! and then he put the most perfect ring EVER [that he picked out totally by himself!] on my finger! i loved it! We talked for a minute more and then the telling all the family begun! We started planning right away as we set our wedding date for August 11, 2011 in the Logan temple. which only gave us 8 weeks.....now we're down to 5 1/2!! We are getting so much done, and we have so much help its amazing. We are going to owe a lot of people when this is all said and done! I can't believe its only been a little over 2 weeks since we got engaged. It feels like forever, and we can't WAIT for August to get here!! I've still got lots to do, so hopefully we can pull it off!

In all the excitement of the wedding, Sarah and Jared [Ross sister and bro-in-law] decided they wanted a little excitement of their own! They announced yesterday that they are going to have a BABY!!!! Its the first grandchild so naturally it overshadows the wedding details! :) But we couldn't be more happy for them!

only 45 more days until Mr. and Mrs. Ross Summers!!! :)

#1 FAN!

Last weekend i had the chance to go to Enterprise and i loved every second of it! I headed over Friday and we just kind of hung out and played around. I got to see my other nieces Adi and Sammi [who are leaving on May 11 to move to South Carolina. I'm not very excited about that!] But Adi said my name to me for the FIRST time! I was so excited because usually she has no clue who i am! Sammi is the cutest little baby ever! [then again im partial cause im the proud aunt!] That night we had a sleepover in the living room with all the boys! It was a lot of fun! They had wanted to watch Napoleon Dynomite because Mathew had watched it at his friends house but didn't get to finish it, and they thought it was the FUNNIEST movie ever! They were quoting it the rest of the weekend!
On Saturday Andrew had baseball games in St. George so we loaded up and headed down. We thought for sure they would be canceled since we woke up to SNOW [yuck!] and it snowed all morning. But they said the fields were fine so we were on our way. When we got there it was rainy and cold, but we braved the weather and cheered for our favorite player! The second game was a little nicer. The rain stopped and the sun tried to come out....but it was still a bit chilly! Andrew got to pitch the whole second game and he did amazing! And he hit every single time he got up to bat! After the games me and Nichole stayed in St. George to do a little grocery shopping. It's always nice to spend time with my sister especially since i won't be living with them this summer! :(
Sunday i went to church with them and got to be with princess while Nichole taught primary! I love chasing that little girl around! After church we had some lunch and then we went on a walk! i am SO enjoying these nice sunny days! such a nice change! And then unfortunately i had to come home. But such a nice weekend!

LOVING my LIFE!

Once again it looks like i have a major update to do! I don't know why i do this to myself! But as i sit here watching American Idol i decided its probably the perfect time to focus on this! I guess i need to go all the way back to SPRING BREAK! Oh it was a glorious break from school! My spring break started out with a bike ride on the mountain and then going to cheer on some of my favorite people at a desert race! It started out a cold day, and then suprisingly ended up to be pretty amazing! We always have a great time together! The rest of my break was just spent relaxing, not doing anything special. Workin on the farm, visiting with family, date nights, and just hanging out! Just what i needed!

After Church
Wating for Luke to get done with practice

My very favorite day of spring break! I got to milk a momma cow and then feed this cute little calf with a bottle. His name is Sanka!

Ok...after spring break i just went back to school. Then the next weekend I had another date with one of my nephews! He was nice enough to let his little sister come along, and we went to Pirate Island pizza again! I always love getting to see my nieces and nephews! Then later that night we had a girls night and went to see Beastly. Not my favorite show ever......don't really recommend it either! Then Saturday i woke up at 2:30 AM to head to Nephi to meet Ross and his family for yet another desert race! :) Good thing i like them! I love being there with them, and helping Jonie be the "Pit Crew!" [i may get a little nervous while they are out but don't tell them!] It makes me feel so good when i see their face coming around the corner! I know they are safe! Ross got in a pretty good wreck that you can watch on youtube so now i think i have the right to be a little nervous while they are gone. But i know they are safe riders and they love it so i will support them!
After we got done at the race, and they all did GREAT! We headed to Salina or Redmond....i'm still confused as to where we were most of the time, but for Ross' cousin's farewell. We had a fun night, Ross' aunt and uncle had some sweet conections for us to get to go to this sweet salt mine! I was kind of nervous to go underground but it was way cooler than i thought and im glad we got to go! At one point we were 300 feet UNDERground! It was a good time!
Then on Sunday we went to the farewell, and just hung out in the sun and then headed home.

We may or may not have licked the salt wall....after we did the guy said, "you guys probably shouldn't lick that." haha oops!

Last weekend i went home yet again for conference! Oh a lovely weekend it was! Got to see a cute boy, see my family, and listen to the words of our Prophet and our AMAZING church leaders! I loved every second of it! For the Saturday session we went up to the mountain to listen to it, and there was something about being outside in the mountains listening to the things Heavenly Father knows that we need, that i have never felt before! i LOVED it! Sunday we spent the first session with my family and the second session at the Summers' house! Where i learned more about farming and taking care of a sick calf. I was amazed at how they took care of it and how much Josie loved that thing only after a few hours of knowing it! I'm sad to report it did pass away though. I thought for sure Jos had it saved! she was doing everything for that poor little thing!
Well i think that about sums it up for now! Holy long post! only like THREE more weeks of school! can i get a WAHOO!! [wahoo!] haha
Hopefully it won't take me months to update this thing again!

A Year Ago Today....

I can not believe that it has been a year since Ashlynn was born! I remember i was sitting there watching American Idol and i get a text..."we're at the hospital and they're keeping me!" I never moved so fast in my life! Aunt Kelsey was on her way!! My mom couldn't be down here so i was going to the hospital by myself! I got there and of course American Idol was still on! :) My sister is either crazy or really tough cause she did not get an epidoral this time! I did NOT like seeing my sister in pain! Everything went way fast and soon i could hear the sweet little cry of my newest niece! my mom was on the phone and she made me ask the doctor if we for sure had a little girl and he said "yup, no last minute changes here!" They had Ashlynn all hooked up with a breathing thing for a little while so i didn't get to hold her! but once i did, it was instant love! She is definatly a princess in every sense of the word! Her brothers LOVE her, i LOVE dressing her up, and her mom LOVES everything about having a little girl in the house! We bonded right from the start...i would try to take the night shift so my sister could get some sleep....so me and princess would watch Chick Flicks together! Her favorite is Bride Wars! :) I love living so close to this little lady and i can't imagine our family without her! I LOVE YOU ASHLYNN GRACE!!

*Weekend Ride*

I get to go get my ride on this weekend in St. George!! I'm pretty excited about it! I've got a date with a motorbike! So goodbye computer, facebook, and Reba.....i'm off....
And i also get to cheer on my favorite people as they take on other riders at the Rhino Rally! GOOD LUCK SUMMERS!!

photoshoot weekend!

This weekend was filled with lots of photoshoots! It started with my niece's one year photo shoot and she hated every second of it!! We did end up actually getting some good pictures though! I love this little lady! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASHLYNN!!!! can't believe you're already a year old!!
We went and got balloons because it was a birthday shoot but they blew away before we actually got pictures with them! she was not very happy about that!
(don't love the shadows on these, but they are the only ones of her smiling and i still love her tiny little face!)

And then me and Ang had a photoshoot for fun when we went to her house in LaVerkin! We went to Toquerville (my new favorite place!) and took cute pictures!! we love them!

And this wasn't taken at our photoshoot but i just love this picture of us! We get bored at Student Alumni stuff we have to do for school! haha :)

*Our new quote: God made us best friends because he knew our parents couldn't handle us as sisters! :)
